Permanent Makeup
Permanent Makeup is arguably the most positive and life-changing cosmetic treatment available within the beauty industry today. Permanent Makeup can help you regain confidence by restoring features lost or compromised due to the ravages of time or illness, making a real and positive life-changing difference to the way that you look and feel!
Permanent Makeup closely imitates perfectly applied conventional makeup on the brows, eyes and lips, offering a great alternative to the tedious daily makeup application routine! Also known as Cosmetic Tattooing, Micro-Pigmentation and Permanent Cosmetics, Permanent Makeup involves the artistic implantation of the highest grade hypo-allergenic pigments into the dermal layer of the skin, creating a beautifully natural shape, colour and texture, resembling perfectly applied makeup… day or night!
As permanent makeup has become increasingly popular all around the world, women are discovering they have more time and less stress as they do not have to worry about applying make-up. Emerging as an industry in the late 1970’s permanent makeup has rapidly grown over the last 10 years as a prominent part of the health and beauty industry being used by millions of women to improve their daily lives and self-esteem.
When permanent make-up is done by a qualified technician it will enhance the existing natural features of the face. Standard procedures for Permanent make-up include enhancing or creating eyebrows, eyeliner, full lip colouring/lip liner.
More recently paramedical cosmetic tattooing or paramedical permanent makeup has emerged as a highly specialized field. Permanent makeup can provide liberation from embarrassing scars, burns and skin imperfections by utilizing corrective pigment camouflaging.
Breast cancer survivors that have had reconstructive surgery are often referred to technicians by plastic surgeons. Women who have had mastectomies can benefit by using permanent makeup to recreate an authentic areola, which gives colour and circle definition for the illusion of a natural breast.
The Permanent cosmetics industry is constantly implementing the best and safest industry standard practices in all procedures done. Together with the professional permanent makeup artist’s manufactures and suppliers are always working on ensuring the best cosmetic pigments and sterilized tools are being used according to industry regulations.
Different Techniques Used
With permanent makeup there are different methods of implanting the pigment this includes:
A tool that is used by hand or more commonly in permanent makeup is called an embroidery pen. We use this technique to achieve hair strokes (3D effect) during the eyebrow and eyeliner procedure and can also be used to achieve a more definitive lip liner.
